Shell is a Detroit area singer/songwriter. Her songs are moody and intense taking you on a lyrical roller coaster. Her voice is strong yet soothing and her performances dynamic and mesmerizing.

The daughter of a classical singer and vocal music teacher, Shell's vocal talent is inherent. She began taking violin lessons at age eight and continued through age fifteen. During that time she also studied the viola, clarinet and bass clarinet. By age sixteen she had taught herself to play guitar and by nineteen began writing music and lyrics. Music became her passion and any place from street corners to dance floors became her stage. Past performances include The 1998 Ann Arbor Art Fairs and the 1998 Hamtramck Labor Day Festival, where she opened for Sixpence None the Richer, and the Grand Opening of the Barnes and Noble in Royal Oak, MI in 2002.

More recently, Shell's songwriting has evolved with the help of technology. Although difficult to perform live, most of her songs are currently written on the computer instead of the guitar. Shell is proud to be a member of The Tapegerm Collective.
