Tapegerm Collective began in May 2000, spawned from a collaboration at homemademusic.com where loops from a selection of diy cassette albums were dropped into a pool that artists used to create new music. A group of these artists formed a collective project to share loops and evolve the resulting music over time; currently mutating into its 20th year.
Project-26: Tapegerm Archive: Open Loop Files - Arthur Loves Plastic
Tapegerm Archive projects cull loops from the legacy Tapegerm server. The legacy server was frozen in 2015 and Tapegerm began again.
Each active Tapegerm loop creator had a server directory where they would periodically drop loops which were open to the public. We called these directories Open Loop Directories.
This project holds the 6 Open Directory Loops of Arthur Loves Plastic at the time of freezing.
