Army Of Bums (extended + vocal) 03:39/192k
Clothes hamper Soda can Water jug Mason jars and one very high person doing a beat box routine 8^) All of the sounds you hear are available in the 10 years loop project. I hope you enjoy! The Incomplete Orchestra
Mad Symphony 2010 03:41/192k
A redo now that I have a Shure PG58. (I was mostly broke and confident I could make it sound good.) And it is! AND! AND! More new stuff here! More so than I blogged yesterday! Dig in! http://ccmixter.org/people/coruscate Also if you like the image on this song, it's available on t-shirts and stuff. Just check the front page of my website http://www.healthyinsanity.com/ Credits: Arthur Loves Plastic Open Loops, Soundtrack Loops. Genre: A Fine How Do U Do. Created: 22 Jan 2010 02:02 AM. The Incomplete Orchestra
My Name Is Inigo Montoya (Updated!) 04:49/128k
Another experimental song, something I've been meaning to do and it's easiest for me to do with demo only loops. (Since I can't publish it for cash). This one isn't yet complete, I'm going to add at least another minute onto it and some other beats. I am somewhat limited because I have the trial version of Acid right now. I'll be "fixing" that in a week by buying the real deal. Credits: Features the wind sample from Tapegerm's "Axel Mundi Guest Artist" loop collection. The rest of the loops are mainly from Loopmasters.com with some FX samples from Blastwave FX and vocal samples from the 80s movie "The Princess Bride.". Genre: A Fine How Do U Do. Created: 10 Dec 2009 03:30 AM. Plays: 246 -->please comment (0).

The Incomplete Orchestra
I Am Sonia (Updated!) 01:58/128k
Features scratching synth 1 from Tapegerm.com's Yuroun Guest Artic. A read of the poem "I Am" by John Clare, actual vocals by Amy G as recorded by Corsica_S on Freesound.org. The first vocal sample is from acclivity on Freesound, the last vocal piece is from ingsey101 on Freesound. The rest of the loops are from Sony's AcidPlanet 8 Packs and other loops you get from joining acidplanet. And of course "Sonia" is my gimmick whenever I use mainly Sony free loops, especially the 8 packs. Credits: Features scratching synth 1 from Tapegerm.com's Yuroun Guest Artic. A read of the poem "I Am" by John Clare, actual vocals by Amy G as recorded by Corsica_S on Freesound.org. The first vocal sample is from acclivity on Freesound, the last vocal piece is f. The Incomplete Orchestra
Drunk Ocelot 03:19/192k
MakeTunes is having a contest to celebrate their sponsorship by Loopmasters and is asking for electronica style mixes from the material, no hip hop, etc. Wow I'm at a disadvantage! (Just kidding) Anyway, I decided to enter but I've been wanting to use one of the funnier vocals from Michael Cosma so I dug in with just one loop for fun. For a limited time you can download the "megamix" with this and "Knowledge From Da Street." Look in song lyrics for url to download! Credits: Features one voal loop from Michael Cosma Guest Artist (Tapegerm.com) and the rest were provided by Loopmasters.com to maketunes.com for their / our music enjoyment.. Genre: Abstract. Created: 01 Dec 2009 05:30 PM. Plays: 246 -->please comment (3).

The Incomplete Orchestra
Robo Phonix Wurked Fur Me (Early Version) 05:20/192k
I'm going to combine my "bellydancing fembot" song with some loops I picked up from Maxamatrix and make one long robo megamix, kind of like The Fifth Horseman but with robots as the theme. I have the Cinematic Soundscapes packing coming from Digital Redux to help with that. Enjoy this early, random in some ways, mix. Credits: A Transformers inspired song. "ComputerSynth1A" is a loop from Guest Artist Mellow Jeremy. The rest are loops from Soundtrack Loop's "Tribal Tech Beats" and weird vocal and turntableness from Peace Love Productions best of Vocals and Turntable Scratch pac. Genre: Electronica. Created: 20 Nov 2009 06:22 AM. Plays: 281 -->please comment (1).

The Incomplete Orchestra
Knowledge From Da Street 02:54/192k
I wanted to make a song with the new loop content, and I came upon the idea of making a homeless man song. So this is the result. It's meant to sound like a crazy, old man babbling and singing to the music. And I haven't blog posted it yet, but I do have a remix of a 3rd Bass song on my website, check it out 8^) http://www.healthyinsanity.com/ Credits: Axel Mundi Guest Artist - Drums; Ed Drury Guest Artist - guitar; C. Goff III Guest Artist - vocals and other ambient bits.. Genre: Abstract. Created: 12 Nov 2009 01:01 AM. Plays: 260 -->please comment (3).

The Incomplete Orchestra Blog

New loops, album and pellas are up!

First things first, all of my loops for the 10 year infection party are up. They include all of the loops and vocal bits you hear in Army Of Bums, and then some. You can also download the entire thing from my website in the free loop section if you like.

New album from The Incomplete Orchestra (me)! $5, features remixes by Presse, Kruzzial, Karma Cowboy and from Mixgalaxy Records, Cubic, Alexhander Chereshnev, Nuts Gives Power, and Gipa. You can preview the whole album in my Nimbit store: http://www.nimbitmusic.com/theincompleteorchestra

New acapellas are up on CCmixter for your mixing needs. These are Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution pellas, so yes, YES commercial songs are okay. Be sure to credit and happy remixing! http://ccmixter.org/people/Coruscate

Tapegerm rap 8^)

You can hear it by listening to the Army Of Bums extended mix (now up here) or here on CCmixter. I'll upload it into my 10 year infection account as well.

More samples coming for that by the way. Mason jars, tambourines, castanettes...

I am now listed on the IMDB

As the soundtrack man for "Terms Of Azimuth" a 2010 movie due to be released soon.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3888404/

I haven't been given a copy of the movie official song list but I do believe some Tapegerm samples (i.e. my random songs) made it into the movie.

Upcoming free loops / vocal offer

Okay so I'm participating in the 10 year infection party, in fact I'm recording my loops tonight. So for one... where do I send them @_@;;

I'm going to do my first Tapegerm submission in months with the song I make from my own loops I hope that's not an issue I intend to have the loop pack uploaded to a server and probably linked in the credit material.

And for two...

http://ccmixter.org/files/Coruscate/26602

This is a song I did for someone who remixed my vocals on CCmixter, it's just a one verse song I put together randomly around their name.

I've got a pop filter on my mic and would happily record your name or spit out a verse of some kind or another just for practice. And I do all my stuff under the CC3.0 attribution so you can sell whatever you do with what I provide. All I ask is credit.

"Chronicwise" is the only *new* pella up right now but you can see the others here. There's 22.

"In the middle of the front page it says what to do & where to put your loops. Anyways you sign up for a new free account here: Tip: use a different user name than you do for your regular song account or it will spit you out & say user allready here. :-) http://www.tapegerm.com/jamroom/signup.php?mode=signup"a_id=17 The link is also on the front page & you then upload your loops as wav files one at a time like you do songs. You will find a page telling you all of this when you sign up. As for a song using them its all good just make sure you have created the account & uploaded the new loops first & then upload your song & credit as 10 Years Infection Project."-- Mental Anguish (on 05/05/10 06:47:05)

By the way there are three new vocals on my CCmixter account.

"Way to go!"-- David Fuglewicz (on 01/14/10 18:10:50)

Mic recommendations?

So I'm going to give rapping another try, actually wrote another verse the other night and it sounds great.

Recording is another issue. I have a ten dollar radio shack mic that just ain't cutting it. So... considering this is bedroom producer hobby here with vocals (instrumentals have to be professional but my vocals are NOT a priority) what kind of mic should I be looking or does anyone have some good recommends?

-->please comment (5)

"For what it's worth, I've had a couple of Shure microphones that I bought new in the 1970s, and they are still working well today. To get an idea of their current abilities, have a listen to some of the songs on my 2009 DIMINUTIVE DISPATCHES album: http://www.archive.org/details/DiminutiveDispatches . I would also recommend using headphones while recording voice to avoid feedback and to get the most accurate sound reproduction without dropout or popped p's. "-- C. Goff III (on 01/12/10 10:04:11)

"You'll also want to get a pop filter."-- Blind Mime (on 01/10/10 09:15:02)

"hmmm basic html link not working on comment on a blog? http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Shure-SM58-Mic?sku=270101"-- Mental Anguish (on 01/10/10 06:14:45)

"Shure "-- Mental Anguish (on 01/10/10 06:13:22)

"If you want quality in my humble opinion go with a Shure. SM58-CN best for vox will do instruments as well if need, spend more & get both but this one will do you. Available at Sam Ash walk in store if in your area & if they stock or online from Musicians Friend or elsewhere. Shure-SM58 "-- Mental Anguish (on 01/10/10 06:11:16)

Good reviews for "Twelve" by D.F., M.A. and T.I.O.

Well my fellow Tapegermees, I've only sold 3 three copies so far, with two more sales in a week, but the reviews for the entire album are positive. I've asked the most talkative purchasers to provide specific feedback for David Fuglewicz and Mental Anguish and I'll get it one way or the other. The album was loved start to finish with no hate!

(MORE...)

In related news, I'm getting the hang of Sony Acid and it's some nice software, so as soon as I upgrade and can have more than 10 tracks I'm going to kick out a few more random songs since Magix Music Maker chokes too much on high quality samples @_p;;

I'll add them to the Twelve project and I encourage people to get down to the Random 12 Loop generator you see when you log in and make some music. Throw your song into the pool and you can use ours as well. Make a tape, sell some music, make some money. Get some feedback, get some fans. Then sell more of your own stuff on your own!

A Movie Associate Producer, become one!

Hey all, lots to talk about. First, music.

I am up to four remix songs in total. I'm sure you have all heard of Queen Latifah at some point, I've remixed the song that got her career started, "Princess Of The Posse." I've also uploaded 2 new preview songs "By Doing This He Too Shall Become Dubmortal" and "Czar Bars With Cosmo Filaments."

http://www.healthyinsanity.com/2009site/music.html

I've also put my mixtape project "Twelve" officially on sale. There's a completed track listing and all. Just over an hour and five minutes of music featuring one track from David Fuglewicz and two from Mental Anguish. Still accepting contributors, so what if I have to change graphics up?

http://www.healthyinsanity.com/2009site/musicforsale.html#twelve

Now what's this noise about a movie? Well I mentioned that some of the songs I was making here in particular Shtompy, Azimuth, Waiting Behind The 8 Ball were part of some secret movie projects.

Well they ain't so secret no more!

You can head over to our blog
http://gravitywellproductions.blogspot.com/

Or website at
http://www.gravitywell.com/

And read up about them as well as see some trailer bits with my music in most of them (My stuff with Tapegerm loops in the Haunted Hotel stuff) The credits have been posted separately of the film as they are all WIP.

You can get IMDB Associate Producer credit, screen credit as well as a copy of the movie (Terms OF Azimuth) for yourself for a donation towards its completion!

Mixtape Green Light!

1) Mixtape green light
2) Visit Splurgo!
3) Free 800 megs of samples!
4) Remix and albums!

Alright, in spite of the fact that we have 54 minutes of music and finished album covers, I still want to encourage people to jump on board this! It's easy to get in.

And feedback wise if you've been interested but didn't like to be constrained to random 12 let me know; I'd be happy to do another tape a few months from now with non-random songs with whomever!

David and Anguish, stop by this link and snag your album covers.

http://www.healthyinsanity.com/2009site/musicforsale.html

The credits sheet is now on the mixtape license page.

===========
2)

I have more than a few regular loop sites I go to. One that doesn't get much exposure is http://www.splurgo.com Splurgo Audio. Stop by and give them a look, they have interesting bargain bin and other useful samples, cheap!

=========
3)

Next up, how does 800 megs of hip hop loops sound?

Producer Loop has been giving out free sample packs with purchases for a while now, nothing new, but now Fat Loud has hooked up with them to give you an 800 megabyte package, FREE!!

I don't know about y'all, but I'm picking that up next week!

http://www.producerloops.com/Download-FatLoud-After-Hours-Free-800MB-Sample-Pack.html

=======
4) I've remixed a song by 3rd Bass, it's available in my free songs section. I've also added a new track, and in coming week I'll be adding new remixes of other classic material from Uptown to the B-52s 8^)

I also have a new digital album for sale, mind you, half the tracks you can get here at the moment, but in time they will disappear! I don't expect many sales yet, but I'm working on it. Nimbit seems like a nice little site for digital sales.

P5 Contest / Inspiration / Customer service

I deleted my last post and am including it below so I can spread news without spamming the blog.

===
P5 Audio is having a beat making contest, they're providing the source material, all you have to do is have under 2 minutes of fun in modern style (see rules.)

http://www.p5audio.com/blog/beat-competition/

====
Here's some song inspiration for you, for anything you'd like.

http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=8323

This is "power words English." Just a set of powerful words like unity, freedom, peace, spoken very plainly.

You can hear an early version of my P5 entry and a short version of a song I came up with using only Soundtrack Loops material.

http://www.healthyinsanity.com/2009site/2009music/sunisout.zip

Why I'm doing this:

==========

I also wanted to say I was given some exceptionally good customer service this week at Soundtrack loops.

http://soundtrackloops.com/

Basically whenever I find loop thieves I report them. This week was the second time I reported someone to PLP, in this case it was Soundtrack loops itself. Turns out though that Soundtrack loops is made up of former PLP guys who are getting their own thing going, so they have taken on some old PLP kits as exclusives and added their own touches to them. I had purchased one of their kits a month or so back (You heard it in "Mad Symphony" the one I rapped in) and though that it was a theft from PLP as I had a free pack with a sample of it.

They overreacted and though I had bought the old loop packs and offered me a refund or another free pack. I explained that it wasn't necessary and felt a freebie wasn't necessary.

But they insisted on the freebie, so who am I to say no twice?

So in addition to Mushroom Grooves ($12 USD) I now own Electric Street ($25 USD) from Soundtrack Loops. Both packs are great values and I'll be doing some solo-source songs for my upcoming film OST to credit them as thanks for it.

Some of these songs will be available on my site as temporary freebies until the album goes on sale. I should be putting up one fairly soon here. I did my first one minute, fifteen second long piece just using those two pacsks and it sounded very nice.

Details below.

Note: If you need an album cover I can help you!

This is a mixtape, free to participate for anyone here. By participating we all get to use each other's music to sell a local mixtape. Price limit is $5, time limit expires on November 1st, 2011. I've made quite a number of songs available (two are in finishing stages) and will give higher bit rate copies to anyone who needs one.

My first album is for sale

*phew* Wjat a roller coaster of a month it's been! I'll spare you the drama, and show the result!

http://www.healthyinsanity.com/2009site/musicforsale.html

My first album is up for sale on Nimbit, you can find the link on my site.

It contains 6 songs from film projects coming out of my studio, Gravitywell Productions. Shtompy and the two songs after it are part of some commercial work we did for the Haunted Hotel in San Diego. The other three songs are for a short film that will be released in January. As soon as we finish buffing up our youtube account with proper credit info, I'll pass the links along!

New Loops N Tunes

I wanted more up, but I updated my site http://www.healthyinsanity.com with two new songs related to "Stompy" but did not use TG loops, so it's up on my site in the free loops section. Two songs, one zip file.

And in the free loops section I've parsed apart more OTR and put up my amateur police scanner talk... dry no filter... course as soon as I'm done parsing apart 90 files... THEN... THEN I find the page with actual police scanner recordings on it, including the style I need. LOL.

I got my NANOkey!

And I'm so excited! Magix can handle MIDI so I just need to figure out how to use my multisamples! VSTs I've already figured out. Well at least how to turn on anyway ^^;;

163 Free Loops + URL!!

Stop by my website for 163 free loops from "X Minus One," an OTR piece from the 1930s. SFX, vocal pieces and orchestral stabs. MP3 format, 8 meg download.

Part of my challenge to everyone to incporate some of that into a song. You can hear bits I used in my current version of "The Lurker." An update will happen to that song.

http://www.healthyinsanity.com/

-->please comment (2)

"I've decided to use bits from "The Parade". I wished "Requiem" wasn't so choppy, Heinlein was one of my favorite SF authors when I was a young spurt."-- David Fuglewicz (on 09/23/09 17:46:38)

"Sounds good but unfortunately I only like to work 90 percent of the time with wav files as the loop points at time when converting mp3s to wav do not loop properly as far as I am concerned & too lazy most of the time to do a batch conversion. :-)Good luck with your challenge!"-- Mental Anguish (on 09/18/09 08:20:34)

ZOMG IT SOUNDS DECENT!

Well I did the fifth and "final" take on my Mad Syphony piece, the lyrics not only sound decent, you can hear what I'm saying and it's not all screwy.

Not the best, but it's likeable.

Mixtape reminder! New or old to Tapegerm, submit a random 12 song and join in. You can print our songs, we'll print yours, and we'll all sell mixtapes and introduce our music to a wider audience than the internet.

Ask for details if you missed them. Participation is free.

-->please comment (0)

Free loops are up / Verse 2!

My first set of (crappy) free loops are up at http://www.healthyinsaniyt.com.

And I've added a second verse and improved vocals on "Mad Symphony." Dunno if I'll add a third verse, but I will practice this one a few times and try to re-record it better.

As a reminder you can use my bad vocals!
http://ccmixter.org/files/Coruscate/22588

In other news, "Todd Influenza" is not on tapegerm anymore, it is now only on my website. A new track is coming in a day or so...

-->please comment (0)

Offering free vocal samples!

1) Free loopage!
2) Website is in early beta
3) Mixtape
4) Cutting room floor.

1) One way or the other, I'm offering up some loops.

I can do a hick accent, a few dumb vocal hits and read and speak Spanish and Japanese.

If you want something, ANYTHING (not totally embarssing or obscene) just ask! I can rap, not that great, also sing, not that great.

My first vocal pack probably won't be acidized due to the number of files that would be involved but it will be called "used car salesman" done in a hick style voice, counting numbers and talking about parody car brands such as a 1969 Heavy Chimpala or a 1993 Tord Faurus.

I'll probably do a mini spanish pack of random dance phrases and acidize those.

As soon as I can get a few more decent pieces involved, I'm putting out a sample pack of loops made from playing a Tiger Power Tour electronic guitar. I do have a real guitar and all the goodies but it's not set up and I never learned to play the bugger to begin with. So that's not up for a few months. As soon as I can get a piano, and perhaps find some public domain (not commons, public) multisamples I'll put my keyboarding experience to practice and come out with something nicer.

==============

2) My website is in early beta, http://www.healthyinsanity.com. Songs that get removed from here that are freebies will go there. Songs that are cut in which they will be modified into more complete songs and put up for sale will go on sale there.

3) I will also be putting up some flier information etc. for the mixtape project so everyone can print out a flyer or two and post to the break room of the job you work at. Promotion is easy!

I'll be posting the final license up for us all to the website along with a list of tracks to use. So far every random 12, including the next one I'm to make will be available to use.

Please do get involved! If you're not selling tapes to people you know use this as a beta or a way to get the word out for yourself and others!

4) "Todd Influenza" has been posted to my website and will be deleted from this account soon. The only difference is there is a higher bit rate version of the song up. "Mad Symphony" will be pulled soon, to be replaced with a two verse version later. "Final Cut" will be pulled soon after, replaced with an extended version with extra vocal pieces on sale in my nimbit store along with some of the 12 X 12 pieces that will get pulled soon after it.

Mixtape / Song challenge

David Fuglewicz and Mental Anguish are joining the mixtape project. Hop aboard!

6 tracks total for 20 minutes of music. Once we hit 40 that's enough for everyone involved to publish their own CD with 20 minutes of their own music mixed in. And we'd still have room for more people if this becomes popular. Spread the word!

Song challenge! Rip apart some sounds or vocals from this old time radio show and have some fun with it! It's public domain, so use at will. Link below.

There are four shows there, I'm using Shangheid.

"To plunder and to exploit an old time radio show, my how that doth appeal to me theatrical sensibilities. Possible pondering ensues and thereafter some moderate meanderings I might just advance upon the site and offer a potentially coveted Buzzycontribution."-- Buzzsaw & The Shavings (on 09/08/09 23:10:29)

=========

So I thought about it, how's about this.

"12 X 12" is the title.

The idea is to get at least 12 of the the random 12 loop project songs together. At least 12, but I say FILL THE ALBUM!!! *cough*

Rather than just me sell this, why not everyone who participates go ahead and sell it in your own area? That way everyone involved can make a buck equally.

Let me know if you want in, I'll come up with a track list leaving everyone involved ten minutes of leeway to add in music of their own to this CD so everyone can have a personalized version of this CD for their audience.

I'm thinking the price limit should be $5.

2) "Mad Orchestra" and "Final Irony" are up to be moved off of Tapegerm indefinitely for improvement and also off site hosting on my website http://www.healthyinsanity.com/

I only have a free account, so stay up on my stuff if you want all the free goodies. Eventually I will be charging digital downloads for my best stuff after I "draft" it on Tapegerm.

3) My website makes no mention of my music or the current time frame, but that will be changing in time. Announcements as soon as plans are concrete...

Questions for those reading...

1 - Local Mixtape! Do you want in?
2 - Anyone know of a good guide to teaching a novice drum patterns?
3 - Who are your known independent sound producers?
4 - ...

1) I'm putting a mixtape out in my locale. Actually I'd like to do this on a monthly or bimonthly basis. Half of the time I want to sell purely my stuff, the other half of the time I somehow want to present more than just myself. The idea of remixing music I know came to mind... but that's also more work for something I can't sell. I mean I don't mind making music just for music, but this last month I did stuff I can't do anything with. (part of my problem is a couple of my sound sites were pirating so the royalty free wasn't really royalty free 8^( )

I DIGRESS!!!

*cough*

My first CD was a remix of all Transformers music, so I can't sell ANY of that. So I gave out 26 copies to people I liked. 27 actually, I need to make another one tonight. This next one I think I want to offer free for anyone that brings me a CD-R, with a double printed sheet of paper for credits. Otherwise it would be $1.50 for one in a colored slim DVD case with printed cover and insert on a light-scribe labeled CD-R. Profit on $1.50? $16.20 for a case of 25 DVD cases, $12.96 for 20 CD-Rs. Paper cost and ink are miniscule overall, so we'll tack on one penny. $1.30 is the actual cost. It takes me an hour to put each case and CD together counting burning and cutting up the pieces. I don't think I could really call $0.20 a "profit."

The great value I aim to gain here since no one knew previously I had music in me, so to speak, is to get the audience of my co-workers and through them other people.

So if you're looking for the "sneak" value, there it is ^^;;

Otherwise, if no one jumps, I'll just do the exact same thing, just on my own ^^;;

Ultimately I want to charge $5-8 a CD. I'm thinking $5 and just produce a lot of music.

Anyone who would want to be on those CDs at that point would get a cut. I won't go into how that would work right now because that's step 3. I'm still on step 1 which is make another full album of music for myself. But at the end of this month, if anyone is willing to let me choose (and then confirm!) a song or two from their collection (or you can choose) I'd like to throw this first CD out.

*PHEW*

2) Okay, I took keyboard 1 and 2 in college. I took MIDI after that. I know about multisamples. I've got Acoustica's Beatcraft, I'm good. And I've got the ear to come up with drums... but I don't have some kind of good tutorial for coming up with them or mimicing foundation patterns.

3) Independant sound producer? People who aren't say, http://www.ProducerLoops.com with their own label and massive loop mega-store. Most of the guys I mention below, even if I fail to mention in my description, give out some kind of free loops even for commercial loops. I can't stress enough to young producers, READ THOSE LICENSE AGREEMENTS!!

Moshang! He has two loop packs, they're both free to use to have fun and even share here on Tapegerm. And it's only $10 per pack if you want to use them for money. You can download them both free. He's a nice guy!

Bedroom Producer - Forget whether it's multisamples or loops, but check it out.
http://bedroomproducers.wordpress.com/category/sample-packs/

Busty Dozen - Massive pack! The only stipulation that's abnormal for us loop junkiez is that you can't use any of their material in advertising. That's their field. They'll feed you to their lawyers if you do.
http://www.thebustydozen.com/

Palalab - I wish this dude had an e-mail so I could tell him I used his loops. But he gives out a new pack of 5 every week. All you have to do is credit him.
http://home.comcast.net/~palalab/

3AM Noise Blog - Forget what's here, check it out though.
http://3amnoise.net/blog/category/sample-collections/

Loop Library - Run by an EXTREMELY nice guy. He does some of the recording for Big Fish Audio. His material is very accoustic and worth checking out.
http://www.looplibrary.com/

Real Music Media - They've got a very large, free accoustic guitar pack and some very nice other packs to check out.
http://www.realmusicmedia.net

My first free multisample pack.
http://www.serious-sounds.net/downloads/sample-pack.html

http://www.loopsellers.com/ - Hip Hop. They are original, they're very synthy so I know these aren't yanks from someone's record collection. I run into that a lot. Not here. These are his.

Mihai Sorohan - She's got three free loop sets and two construction kits for sale, $2 a piece. They sound nice and work well.
http://www.mihaisorohan.net/downloads.shtml

Atypical Audio - Check out the free pack, donate, then check out the real thing if you're into that kind of sound!
http://www.atypicalaudio.com/glitchgumbo1.php

Maxiloops - $4 sets, or $20 for everything. I don't have this yet and can't vouch for it.
http://www.maxiloops.com/guitars.php

AcidFanatic - Also cannot vouch yet, I want the Kaos Guitar pack though myself.
http://www.acidfanatic.com/

DooleyDrums - Everyone knows Dooley! If you don't, whatcha' doing foo'!
http://www.dooleydrums.com/

Analogik - Two free sets! One is free to use, the other "Corporate Lies" requires a fee to use commercially, but you can get it and play with it if you want.
http://analogik.com/download_2007.asp

Ryan Gruss - I can't vouch yet, I want to get though.
http://ryangruss.com/?cat=14

Smokin' Joe's Harmonica Loops - DITTO!
http://www.smokinloops.com/

Tune Up Loops - AIFF format only but they sound nice. Haven't bought yet but I will in time I'm sure.
http://www.tuneuploops.com/

Hark Loops - Now this is COOL. Every site gives you demos. They give you the demo... and the construction kit for the demo free! The packs are $12 to $20 and I will get one in time I'm sure.
http://www.harkproductions.com/loops/catalog.html

Real Live Loops - Can't vouch other than that they made my list of potential purchases.
http://www.realliveloops.com/shop.html

Soonz - If you liked my first two songs, you've heard Soonz somewhere in there. Free constructions kits

4 - Next log post.... links to "major" producers you've never heard of but that are worth checking out.

"Quick response as well I agree with Dave a lot to digest. I make my own loops using Oxygen & vsts mostly free ones, some not but costly, I also use Fruity Loops & Acid Pro 5 at the moment. May upgrade at a later date. I use Reason as well. At times I use my old analog synths & drum machine which is cranky like Daves. As far as loop producers other sites I rarely deal with them but you have mentioned a lot familiar with back when first got into looping. I too use mostly tapegerm or my own stuff & synths via soft or hard as well so loop producers I can't tell you really except for loopmasters they do some good stuff. As for a mix cd if you want a track let me know which one & we see what happens."-- Mental Anguish (on 09/04/09 19:56:16)

"Whew, that's a lot to digest. For a quick response: Me, I just work out my own drum patterns. Back in my analog days I used a Roland drum machine. I still have it but leaky batteries have given it brain damage, sigh. My main program for computer composing is Buzz, lots of people say it's too cranky especially under Windows XP, but I love it and have learned how to make it work. I like to keep my tools simple and not have a lot of programs that I only know how to use somewhat. I like to wring out all I can from the tools (usually freeware cuz I'm cheap) I do have. Since my usual style is more in the abstract, sound painting if you will, style, this hasn't presented an artistic dilemma for me... yet. I use the Tapegerm loops almost exclusively for all my looping needs so I can't suggest any loop sources. However, fellow Tapegermer and long time friend Cystem (aka John Sosnowski) does have some guitar loop CD's, I suggest you contact him, his stuff is good 'n crunchy, spacey and dreamy too. On your mix CD offer, hmmm, maybe I'll opt in. More later. Your compositions are nice, welcome to TG again, you've got some great energy."-- David Fuglewicz (on 09/04/09 19:32:18)

Well that's coming along just fine.

You ever have a creative rut where you don't hate your old material, but you're tired of it? Yeah, I had a full album worth of my old music and it was good, but I was tired of it. And then...

...the next batch had to be put on hold since, once again, I was struck down by loop pirates selling vinyl cuts as royalty free material. So I'm going to have to clean up some of the songs I had planned for commercial release.

That sucks.

So... since I've joined here I have enough new music to keep me happy. That Random 12 thing is a good idea. And I just realized, I wanted to save the one I was looking at just a second ago but I closed the window already.

U_U.

Drat.
