The Friendless Face      (27:00)

A extended 6 part journey. Various styles represented all blended into this long player. Electro, ambient, dark ambient, experimental electronics, Electro Accoustics, Soundscapes. Ear Goggle friendly. Part 2 is sort of a reworking of the G-Day track Sleep Deprivation the part is much shorter than the original track & a bit different, I wanted to use these loops in a regular mix as the G-Day loops & project was a improv type thing where we had a short time frame window to create a mix. Some vox from various film clips. Enjoy!

Genre: Green Alien
Album: TBA
Label: Harsh Reality Music/Tapegerm

Credits: Loops by Mental Anguish, Ed Drury Guest Artist, Mellow Jeremy Guest Artist, Yuroun Guest Artist, Hebephrenic Open Loops, H-Day loops Cystem, Mental Anguish, Omnitechnomatrix. Vox from The Relaxed Housewife & Esso Commercial courtesy Prelinger Archives.

The Friendless Face... "Smokingly chilled track here, an epic indeed, and a good tool for activities Zen in nature ! an excellent production, cheers Chris." -- (posted 09/23/07)

The Friendless Face... ""Rosianus, that you persist in ill-health is most distressing and alarming to me, and although I applaud the very deep measure of your self-control, I feel it may be exhausted and fear that the complexion of your character may be affected. To be patient and to endure this travail is all I can advise, there is every hope for a recovery, and it may yet offer a chance for merit. I must say that whenever I am enjoying an abundance of good health, I frequently will say to my household: 'Should I suffer an illness, I shall refrain from asking for anything which might afford a reason for subsequent shame and regret. If my discernment is unequal in its contest with malady, I warn you not to provide me with anything that the doctor has not approved, or you shall be punished as though anyone else had refused me.' But at times, I do relax this stern rule without fear of a slippage in the health of my character. Once when in the grip of an ailment for above three weeks, in fear of the loss of my composure, I was being prepared for a bath, when the tableau of slaves whispering prompted me to ask why. They replied that while the doctors had recommnded the bath, they felt that the newest of Mental compositions, a lavish and rich opus that had cured and lightened their concerns must surely have the power to transfix the further course of my obstinate malady. I, of course forsook the bath, and instead was washed by the tonic of Mental's work and a stoic majesty that would be recomended to Epictetus and Zeno was mine again. " The reply of Rosianus has been lost, but it is certain that this masterwork is indeed a cure and a salve, sweet in its measures and stalwart in its reproach of the travails of life. Bravissimi, Chris the Phinney!" --buzzsaw (posted 09/04/07)

The Friendless Face... "Quite an amazing journey!" -- (posted 09/04/07)

The Friendless Face... "A glorious and super rich, multi segmented epic that flows like lava creating streams and rivulets on its way to the mother sea. I downloaded this one for the car and it is tremendous driving music. The beats heat up the street, the lush and delicious synths make the waiting at the red lights tolerable. The odd spoken word inserts trigger images of aliens flying by our sick litle earth and tuning in randomly to see if they should stop. They'll be happy to have some new Anguish, the rest they can leave behind. " --Don Campau (posted 09/03/07)

The Friendless Face... "This Happy House With Spouse stuff fuels up my motor up real good. Must be that slippery Esso oil lubing up all that tension, so the rough spots just glide and slide -- really its BETTER than an extra bone for the bow wow! Woof! and Yahoo!" --padukem (posted 09/03/07)

The Friendless Face... "This is a true epic, I am blown away." --davefuglewicz (posted 09/03/07)

The Friendless Face... " Nice one (or six as it may be). Love the reverse delay effect on the opening guitar melody. Very subtle, but effective. This is an epic journey and takes tours through the movies along the way. Excellent and familar vox samples and lots of other craziness. Very cool stuff. It's like sitting down to a nice improving book with a restorative brandy in the afternoon. Or like a roundtable discussion of movie reviewers. " --Edrury (posted 09/03/07)
