The title of this mix was inspired by a yelling match I had a few days ago with a Memphis Police Officer. See we had gone out to eat some chinese & when done Tawnya & Bela went inside a wig & beauty store, my two boys Grahm (Fats) & Eli were still in the chinese joint. So I sat on the curb & took a smoke & conducted buisness on my cell phone. The boys came out & bumped me I nodded & thought they went inside the wig store. When done with buisness I looked down the outer concourse & Fats & Eli were 8 stores down near Kroger. I yelled come on let's go of which they did not hear. Tawnya & Bela (Colorful Octopus) came out & Bela took off running after them sack in hand. Tawyna texted Fats to come on & Bela, Eli & Fats came out of the entrance to Kroger & two stores up took off running. A cop came out running after them & caught Bela & threw her against the wall as we were yelling for him to stop. Anyways things got heated he claimed he thought they were stealing from the store. He told me to shut up not once but twice to which I replied back "You shut up & look in the sack & see whats in it & yes we have the receipt." He said I needed to shut up again after I told him if he wanted me to quit yelling then he should. He said it again to which I replied " It's a free country" In return he said "You Think it's A Free Country" So thats the gist of it all. We all walked off pissed needless to say.

A bit of progressive electronica with a middle eastern feel. First track I have recorded in 6 months took a bit of a break I guess. Not that I do not have ideas just other things more pressing lately. Use your ear goggles as its very ear goggle friendly. This track is not only a TG track but a remix of datawhores Olivier, The Point Is & The Nature Of My Dream. I used certain samples from each one. 6 months ago I planned on remixing all 3 tracks as I had done all the other ones that datawhore had offered up. Then about 3 months ago while at work I decided to do a combo of the 3, I had heard all the material so I pretty much knew what I wanted to do with it as well as the Buzzy & Anti - G loops. to grow straight up beside his house leaning towards his house after the
tremendous storm & gale force winds that happened last night.Damn he says &
bolts outta the door to get his best friend WinStye!Winstye will know what to do
he says to himself.So TopHat grabs Winstye & they go over to
TopHats house & sure enough they are both about 1 foot away from crashing down &
smashing TopHats house to bits.Flustered TopHat says "what do we do WinStye?"
They proceed inside the house & WinStye suggests calling the insurance company
they do & the insurance guy comes & has a look & says "well we can only cut
whats hanging
over the house for your deductible"."Damn" says TopHat "thats no good they will
still fall & smash the house",in which the insurance man says "well thats City
property being that there is a ditch there & their fence is there & they own the
6 foot easement.You need to call the City to take care of this" he says.
So TopHat calls the city & they come out & look & scratch their ass & look &
scratch a little more & say,"Well its your responsibilty as a homeowner to
take care of it"..(The Buck is passed here see)TopHat says "but you own the 6
foot easement & I cant do anything on that property if I want to put up a fence

have to be 6 feet from it you told me that years ago!"a little more ass
scratching goes on & the city workers say "well I am sure we could give you a
permit to build a fence
right next to ours Mr.TopHat if you would like."(more passing of the buck).The
city workers leave & TopHats fuming,he says "WinStye what are we gonna do",of
which Winstye
grins mischeviouslly & says "I have a plan" & so they grab two pistolas from the
drawer fully loaded & head down to City Hall with a lightning like quickness,on
the way TopHat says to WinStye
"Winstye whats the plan here?" in which WinStye replies "Well we are going to
City Hall to smoke some Politicians,Smoke some damn politicos my good
friend."They arrive
head in & proceed to smoke several politicos & anyone else in sight,after its
over WinStye & TopHat blow the rolling smoke from their gun barrels & holster
them
promptly.TopHat whips out his rolling papers & WinStye grabs his bowl & they
proceed to roll up & load up on Politicos,"now we are talking" says TopHat "this
is the real shit"..
so the two puff away & grab a cup or two of that lovely government employee
coffee & proceed to enjoy themselves.."Ahh nothing like a cuppa joe & some
politico
in the afternoon eh WinStye",They chuckle & head off into the sunset enjoying
the sweet aroma of the smoked politicos which smells like sweet vengeance
indeed!!

When uploading a mix to this project please use 10 Years Infection Project in the credits section so that the song actually goes on the page. No abreviations please it will not work correct if you do that.

Its a sad day or week or what have you in synthesist land. Friend & fellow comrade Louis Boone has died. Circumstances & more info forthcoming maybe. Fortunately I was able over the years to record with him some in Alien Planetscapes & a few other things over the last 20 years or so. You will not find a lot on the net about Louis. Search My Space for Born To Go. I released a tape by Louis as well way back in the day & he plays on March Of The Electronic Dilletantes (revisted) on my page here at TG. You can also find him on the Equinox excerpt track & Never on Sunday track on the HRM page.

Crediting Tracks Proper So They Go On The Proper Pages

OK so yeah I hate to nag a bit but quite a few tracks often are not showing up on the pages like they should. Improper crediting is why so when you are downloading the loops it says on the top of that loop page what to put in the credits & you must put it in them just like it says so the songs go auto on the Guest Artist, Project or Open Loops pages.
Please pay attention to that detail its how we want the pages to be so the tracks show up there. Also then I do not have to straighten it out & I do not always straighten them out unless I have the time. If you forget how to credit you can always look at the drop down menu & get the page you need to see how it should be. Also always use the credits section for this as well.
Having your track go on the pages helps you out with exposure to your track as its on your page, the front if its a new song or in the charts. It also makes the pages look better :- )
Open loops tracks get extra exposure as if credited properly they also show up on the artists page itself as new tracks with loops by so & so on them.

A bit of progressive electronica with a middle eastern feel. First track I have recorded in 6 months took a bit of a break I guess. Not that I do not have ideas just other things more pressing lately. Use your ear goggles as its very ear goggle friendly. This track is not only a TG track but a remix of datawhores Olivier, The Point Is & The Nature Of My Dream. I used certain samples from each one. 6 months ago I planned on remixing all 3 tracks as I had done all the other ones that datawhore had offered up. Then about 3 months ago while at work I decided to do a combo of the 3, I had heard all the material so I pretty much knew what I wanted to do with it as well as the Buzzy & Anti - G loops. Just had to find the time to compose the thing & add my stuffing. Enjoy the madness if you will.

This CD from 2005 features 53 minutes of splice and dice tuneage.
Mental Anguish is Chris Phinney. Tapegerms is a sonic collective community, represented here by: Cystem, Mystified, Q-Cut, DJ Get Yo Fat On, Heuristic Inc., Omnitechnomatrix, Dave Fuglewicz, and Buzzsaw & the Shavings.
The idea is: each performer contributes samples and riffs that are then mutated by other members of this electronic community. Fragments are transformed into music, often raucous in nature, but hardly unmelodic. Abrasive, though, is an amply applicable description. But strangely, for all these qualifiers, the tunes are engaging and often breathtaking.
Drum riffs conspire with grinding guitar attacks to produce hypnotic pieces. A bevy of slick electronics serve to cement the elements into a glistening display of tasty tuneage. Bass tones provide a rumbling undercurrent that uplifts the rest of the instruments.
An amazing thing is how different each track is. While one blazes with guitar pyrotechnics, another applies sultry smoothness with a touch of synthetic church bells. One track blends agro electronics with heavy metal guitar to rail against telemarketers and their predilection to always call during dinnertime. Another track generates a dreamy soundscape that would be ambient if not for its overtly gritty manner.
With the exception of the source material, the only property shared by all the compositions is a dedication to alternative sensibilities. Spurning traditional pop format, this music strives to push the envelope by forcing experimental attitudes into a pop venue, ultimately imbuing the music with a subliminal dissatisfaction with conventionality. This urge is not only laudable, it produces a tasty selection of music that resides outside the box.
For all its anarchistic roots, this music is highly listenable, often delivering tunes that would have been suitably appropriate during the Eighties heyday of electro-pop.

This CD from 2005 features 53 minutes of splice and dice tuneage.
Mental Anguish is Chris Phinney. Tapegerms is a sonic collective community, represented here by: Cystem, Mystified, Q-Cut, DJ Get Yo Fat On, Heuristic Inc., Omnitechnomatrix, Dave Fuglewicz, and Buzzsaw & the Shavings.
The idea is: each performer contributes samples and riffs that are then mutated by other members of this electronic community. Fragments are transformed into music, often raucous in nature, but hardly unmelodic. Abrasive, though, is an amply applicable description. But strangely, for all these qualifiers, the tunes are engaging and often breathtaking.
Drum riffs conspire with grinding guitar attacks to produce hypnotic pieces. A bevy of slick electronics serve to cement the elements into a glistening display of tasty tuneage. Bass tones provide a rumbling undercurrent that uplifts the rest of the instruments.
An amazing thing is how different each track is. While one blazes with guitar pyrotechnics, another applies sultry smoothness with a touch of synthetic church bells. One track blends agro electronics with heavy metal guitar to rail against telemarketers and their predilection to always call during dinnertime. Another track generates a dreamy soundscape that would be ambient if not for its overtly gritty manner.
With the exception of the source material, the only property shared by all the compositions is a dedication to alternative sensibilities. Spurning traditional pop format, this music strives to push the envelope by forcing experimental attitudes into a pop venue, ultimately imbuing the music with a subliminal dissatisfaction with conventionality. This urge is not only laudable, it produces a tasty selection of music that resides outside the box.
For all its anarchistic roots, this music is highly listenable, often delivering tunes that would have been suitably appropriate during the Eighties heyday of electro-pop.
