My flashlight caught the reflection of its warted lips, dripping with the blood of Sandra's amputated leg, the majority of the limb held in the creature's scaley hand, like Henry VIII holding a well broiled turkey leg, like Jimmie Bob grabbing drumsticks from a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken. In a way, the creature's dribbling saliva reminded me of Jimmie Bob's expression as he celebrated his victory in the three legged race at the picnic earlier that day. But JB now could only look forward to running in a two legged race, his amputated racing partner was being reduced to all stumps as the creature continued its frenzied feeding.
