View From A Brain Cell 03:39/192k
Just as there are audio loops, there are brain loops. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t had them. Sometimes there seems no way to turn them off. Goff III plays: Korg R3 Vocoder Synthesizer, Midisoft Midi Composing Tool, Voice, Hello Kitty Electronic Guitar, Sound Effects. Vocal samples from various Ray Bradbury productions.. Lick My Beefheart Off, Rhino 03:18/192k
Don Van Vliet RIP 1941-2010. I quote a couple of my favorite lines from my favorite Captain Beefheart composition: "The Buggy Boogie Woogie," from the album: "Lick My Decals Off, Baby." Attempting to be true to the Captain's ideal of not contributing to the sameness of everything, this dirge detours away from the familiar while retaining certain homage elements. Buzzsaw's Rhinoceros completes the riddle with unparalleled poignancy. Credits: Open Loops by Hal McGee, Dave Fuglewicz, and Buzzsaw. C. Goff III: Korg DS-8 Synthesizer, Korg R3 Vocoder Synthesizer, Midisoft Midi Composing Tool, Voice. Genre: Family. Created: 02 Jan 2011 09:46 PM. Plays: 76 -->please comment (2).

Goff III plays: Korg DS-8 Synthesizer, Acoustic Guitar, Midisoft Midi Composing Tool, Voice, Sound and Production Effects, including multi-layered Spanish-speaking vocals at end of song. Genre: Flamenco. Created: 28 Dec 2010 11:23 AM. Plays: 81 -->please comment (2).

Crash Course 02:13/192k
Once upon a time, a light-sleeping avant garde musician lived on a major street with a billboard over his ceiling. There were times when he was driven to record his memories of dreams interrupted. Goff III plays: Korg DS-8 Synthesizer, Korg R3 Vocoder Synthesizer, Midisoft Midi Composing Tool, Voice, Balinese Flute, Sound Effects. Genre: Americana. Created: 05 Dec 2010 02:11 PM. Plays: 92 -->please comment (4).

Never Love Laughter      (03:03)

The pensive melody and simple lyrics for this lament were brought to me in a dream on my birthday almost exactly a year ago (October 17th). I thought of it as a birthday present from the Gods. Elton John was performing the song on a stage in a real fancy theater. I’ve never seen an EJ concert in real life except on TV. There was a paraplegic person sitting next to him on the piano stool. I saw Dianne Feinstein in the audience.

Anyway, considering today’s troubled times, it suddenly seemed appropriate that I cook up a recording of this song and honor its anniversary. I shook some Tapegerm spices into the recipe to make it a bit more edgy.

Genre: Love
Album: in process
Label: Taped Rugs Productions

Credits: Goff plays guitars, twiddles midi composing tool, and sings. Includes Mental Anguish Open Loops, Dave Fuglewicz Open Loops, and International Garbageman Open Loops.

Never Love Laughter
I'll never love laughter
Not after today

I used to laughter before
But I'm not gonna love it anymore

Never Love Laughter... "Reminded me of days past. Kind of like an American Giles Giles and Fripp or something. Repeated listening recommeded." --Robert Lande (posted 04/07/10)

Never Love Laughter... "Conversely, upon the morrow, the elevation of my hitherto enduring Goffesteem shall be triply hefted, and to such an extent and such an elevation that a raging eternal debate and dissension ensues where I still yet tarry in the ionosphere or have penetrated into the lower reaches of the exosphere. When resolved, I shall, of course resume me inexhaustible praise for Charles of the Goff." --buzzsaw (posted 10/27/08)

Never Love Laughter... "Yay!! Just listened to this great piece and now on the third listen on row! - and I just want to second Chris' comments. Top notch and addictive! Great mixture of really big contrasts in this piece and the song is superb! / Björn" --internationalgarbage (posted 10/17/08)

Never Love Laughter... "Wow a wonderful shaking of tg spices in this piece I think, a very mellow piece that I find myself playing over & over, never love laughter is a piece complete with great guitar work & vocal delivery. Top notch work sir Charles!" --Mental Anguish (posted 10/12/08)
