C. Goff III View From A Brain Cell 03:39/192k
Just as there are audio loops, there are brain loops. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t had them. Sometimes there seems no way to turn them off.
This piece is a prototype experiment for a Bradbury-oriented endeavor involving Goff and Justynn Tyme.

C. Goff III Lick My Beefheart Off, Rhino 03:18/192k
Don Van Vliet RIP 1941-2010. I quote a couple of my favorite lines from my favorite Captain Beefheart composition: "The Buggy Boogie Woogie," from the album: "Lick My Decals Off, Baby." Attempting to be true to the Captain's ideal of not contributing to the sameness of everything, this dirge detours away from the familiar while retaining certain homage elements. Buzzsaw's Rhinoceros completes the riddle with unparalleled poignancy. Credits: Open Loops by Hal McGee, Dave Fuglewicz, and Buzzsaw. C. C. Goff III Never Love Laughter 03:03/128k
The pensive melody and simple lyrics for this lament were brought to me in a dream on my birthday almost exactly a year ago (October 17th). I thought of it as a birthday present from the Gods. Elton John was performing the song on a stage in a real fancy theater. I’ve never seen an EJ concert in real life except on TV. There was a paraplegic person sitting next to him on the piano stool. I saw Dianne Feinstein in the audience.
Anyway, considering today’s troubled times, it suddenly seemed appropriate that I cook up a recording of this song and honor its anniversary. I shook some Tapegerm spices into the recipe to make it a bit more edgy. Credits: Goff plays guitars, twiddles midi composing tool, and sings. C. Goff III Avant Advert Avatar 02:53/160k
On a visit to Myspace, the annoying Site Pal Avatar forced itself upon me, claiming it would work for me 24/7 without pay or sleep. Naturally I employed it to carry out my dirty Dadaesque deeds. This one sounds best when played at high volume. Credits: Features cut-up arrangement of recordings samples by Dereck Higgins, Site Pal Avatar, Reflector Stratocaster from C. C. Goff III Chantey Dance In Dada Pants 04:40/160k
The main melodies of this theme were brought to me by forces beyond my understanding in a dream. At the time I thought it all had a sort of Simon and Garfunkel Feelin Groovy thing going on. As I began to work with these sounds in the conscious world, however, they took on the guises of weird old sailors, so I dressed them up in the sounds and words presented here. Credits: C. Goff III guitars and voices embellished with Altered Open Loops from Dave Fuglewicz Open Loops, Blind Mime Open Loops, International Garbageman Open loops, and Ed Drury Guest Artist .. SOUNDS LIKE
A dream or maybe not a dream, but like a candy bar stuffed in a horn, like a buffalo horn, the corn dried and ready to pop, then popping, then chewing, then digesting, then singing at the cocktail lounge with Sammy and Dean.

New Dadaist Twists For Ray Bradbury Lovers
posted: 17 Jun 2011 11:38 PM
C. Goff III and Justynn Tyme have just released a series of audio vignettes based on recombining and rearranging bits and pieces from Ray Bradbury's huge output of inspiring literature. We sampled bits from radio, television, and movie adaptations of Bradbury's works. We read and caused computer voice emulators to read brief excerpts from Bradbury's stories. We cut and pasted bits from Bradbury's recorded interviews. We combined these Bradbury samples with samples from other media sources and with original "music" to produce six recordings, each of which tells a unique story that provides listeners with a variety of interpretations. It’s ready for you if you’re ready for it. Click on the Space Kitty below, and get sucked into this Dadaist vortex...

Lo Finest Show #18: The Huge Home Recordings Special (February 23, 2010)
Lo Finest 18
One of the things about cassette tapes that many home recording artists have taken advantage of is that they run continuously for long periods of time. Lots of avant-garde home recordings contain single compositions that run as long as 30 - 45 minutes. Excerpts from these extended pieces have received airplay, but rarely have the entire pieces been played on broadcast radio or even internet radio shows. So this show will feature several of these recordings all played in their entirety. Settle yourselves in for a six hour show!
All of these artists and more are included in the show:
Zan Hoffman, Dave Prescott, Alain Neffe,Conrad Schnitzler, Chris Phinney (Mental Anguish), Gen Ken Montgomery, Little Fyodor, Agog, Nick, Jeff Surak, Nadine Bal, Mike Hovancsek, John Hajeski, Keith Nicolay, Evan Cantor, Hal McGee, Brian Noring, Lord Litter, Mr. Ebu, Mike Shannon, Carl Howard, Dan Fioretti, C. 05:34:53 “...und gab ihr einen Kuss” by Ebu (from Influences From The Luna Canoe)
Since 2005, the Lo Finest program has been dedicated to the appreciation of homemade recordings that were made and distributed on cassette tapes during the 1980s and 90s, hosted by veteran home recording artist Charles Rice Goff III. Thousands of sonic artists were cranking out cassettes all over the world during the 80s and 90s. The whole cassette explosion took place long before people had home computers, the internet, email, mp3s, and all that. People found out about hometapers by reading various publications that offered reviews of tapes, by listening to those rare radio broadcasts that would feature home tapes, by sending a letter to a contact address that had been printed on one of the many compilation cassettes that were created and distributed during this period, etc. Most hometapers were not approaching their craft as a means to achieving economic success, and this allowed for some incredibly free thinking endeavors to be realized. Trading tapes was common, offering a sort of sonic cultural exchange that had never really been possible before the age of inexpensive home recording technology.

General description:
Lo Finest is a program dedicated to the appreciation of homemade recordings that were made and distributed on cassette tapes during the 1980s and 90s, hosted by veteran home recording artist Charles Rice Goff III.
You can contact Charles through his Taped Rugs website at: www.geocities.com/padukem. He asks listeners to please not send him old cassettes to play on this show, because he's got more than enough to work with already. However, he is very interested in any information that you would like to share about the cassette culture.
